Aubert's Airedales Welcomes 22 New Airedales into the World
Temperament Testing will take place the week of July 4th. We request for you to patient and give us until July 11th at the earliest to discuss placement. All information regarding placement will be either placed here on the blog or be sent in email form. All blog entries will be shared to the Facebook page as well.
Please note, we do have high standards for our new families. We have discussed with you our requirements for having a puppy from us, our expectation is that these requirements are met in effort for us to hold our health guarantee.
The puppies are beginning to show signs that they are now able to hear as their ears are developing further and they are also reacting to sounds in their area. Some pups have one eye opening, some have both, and some puppies are still shut tight. Within the next few days, they will all have their eyes open and begin working on lifting themselves up in an effort to walk in their whelping box.
Next week, we will begin preliminary potty training lessons and learn how to play. Play is very important for puppy development and assists with not only their social skills but also their coordination skills.
Maple will continue to feed her pups until they are just shy of 4 weeks old. Maple is an excellent mother and instills much confidence in her pups. Her litter is a nice mixture of wire coat, soft coat and sheepcoat airedales.
As this is Mugo's first litter, she is taking her job quite seriously, not allowing ANY dogs in or near her puppies. Even when Mama picks up a pup, Mugo has this look of "What are you doing?!?! You're not going to hurt it, are you?!?" haha. A little reassurance goes a long way with her.
Mugo's is a Maple x Moose airedale so there are some strong similarities in the litters- they are all extremely healthy, happy and thick. Much to our surprise, Mugo's genes seemingly dominated Perch's with this litter and we've been blessed with 10 little curlyhaired piglets. These pups are going to be wonderful dogs. Out of this litter, a majority of them are sheepcoat airedales, there is one wire coat for sure and the rest are seemingly sheepcoats.
Mugo's pups will begin gaining thier vision and hearing over the next few days. Right now, they are making lots of different purring and cooing noises that can be heard around the clock.
Next week, Mugo's litter will also begin preliminary potty training lessons and learn how to play.
Pick Up Availability
Mugo's will be ready to go home after July 19th.
Please note, puppies will not leave Aubert's Airedales until they are 8 weeks old.
We will set up dates and time frames for your to schedule your pick up. We do require prompt pick up of puppies as Mama Aubert will be headed out of town for a conference the following week.
Should you be interested in accommodation at Aubert Den, please let us know soon. We only have midweek availability at this time.
If you are out of state and undecided on how you will be getting your puppy, please make this decision by next week so we can set up airfare, if needed.
